What to Expect

During your spinal adjustment session, our chiropractor will perform a thorough assessment to identify areas of misalignment.

What to expect

It’s normal to feel a little uncertain before your first appointment. At Hawthorne Chiropractic, we take the time to explain each step clearly, answer your questions, and ensure you feel comfortable throughout your visit.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel confident and supported in your care.

First Visit

When you arrive, our Chiropractic Assistant will greet you and ask you to complete a short form so we can better understand your health history.

Next, you’ll meet with Dr Armitage for a consultation to discuss your concerns in detail. If chiropractic care is likely to help, Dr Armitage will conduct a thorough physical examination to assess your spine and overall health.

Depending on the results, he may recommend regular spinal adjustments or spinal X-rays to gain a clearer picture of your spinal health before beginning treatment.

Please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour for your first appointment.

Second Visit

Now that we’ve had the chance to learn a little more about you, it’s time to focus on your care. If X-rays were taken, Dr Armitage will review these with you and outline a tailored care plan designed specifically for your needs.

You’ll then have your first adjustment. To ensure you feel comfortable throughout, Dr Armitage will explain each step before proceeding and guide you gently through the process.

For your second visit, please allow 30–45 minutes.

Adjustment Visit

Once we’re familiar with your health needs, your follow-up consultations will be shorter and more focused.

For each adjustment visit, please allow 15 – 20 minutes.
